Miya Ando, (Okayama, Japón, 1978)
Obtiene un Bachillerato en Estudios Asiáticos de la Universidad de California. Posteriormente cursa estudios en Iconografía Budista en Yale University. Desde el 2010 está representada por la Galería Sundaram Tagore en Nueva York, Hong Kong y Singapur. Ha exhibido individualmente en Nueva York y California así como en Singapur, Hong Kong, Rusia, Dinamarca, Corea, Francia, Australia, Inglaterra, Alemania y Japón. Su trabajo ha sido expuesto en Aldrich Contemporary; Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art; Byzantine Museum en Grecia; Queens Museum; De Saisset Museum; la Segunda Bienal del Bronx en el Bronx Museum; Hermitage Museum; el espacio satélite del Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara; Attleboro Arts Museum; Museum of Byzantine Culture; Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art; Worcester Museum. Su obra se encuentra en colecciones privadas e institucionales incluyendo Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). Vive y trabaja en Nueva York.

Obtained a B.A. in Asian Studies from the University of California. Later she studied Buddhist Iconography at Yale University. Sundaram Tagore Gallery represents her since 2010 in New York, Hong Kong and Singapore. She has had solo exhibitions in New York and California as well as in Singapore, Hong Kong, Russia, Denmark, Korea, France, Australia, England, Germany and Japan. Her work has been exhibited at Aldrich Contemporary; Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art; Byzantine Museum in Greece; Queens Museum; De Saisset Museum; the Second Bronx Biennial at the Bronx Museum; Hermitage Museum; the satellite space of the Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara; Attleboro Arts Museum; Museum of Byzantine Culture; Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art; Worcester Museum. Her work is in private and institutional collections including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). She currently lives and works in New York.
