Johnathan Dwayne (San Juan, PR)

Artista autodidacta, cursó estudios en la Escuela Superior de Artes Plásticas Lucchetti, ganando certámenes de dibujo y pintura en la Biblioteca Carnegie a lo largo de su curso escolar. Su primera exhibición individual fue en la Galería Caribe Hilton en 1993. Posteriormente ha realizado 10 exhibiciones individuales y ha participado en cinco colectivas. En el 2011 le es otorgado el premio UNESCO como dibujante. Su obra se encuentra permanentemente en el Teatro Braulio Castillo en Bayamón y en la Casa Alcaldía del Municipio Autónomo de Caguas, Puerto Rico. Su especialidad es el arte figurativo.

A self-taught artist, he studied at the Lucchetti School of Fine Arts, winning drawing and painting competitions at the Carnegie Library throughout his school career. His first solo exhibition was at the Caribe Hilton Gallery in 1993. Subsequently he has had 10 solo exhibitions and has participated in five group exhibitions. In 2011 he was awarded the UNESCO prize as a cartoonist. His work is permanently exhibited at the Braulio Castillo Theater in Bayamón and at the Casa Alcaldía del Municipio Autónomo de Caguas, Puerto Rico. His specialty is figurative art.
