Héctor Rafael Rodríguez (Santiago de Compostela, España, 1973)

Pintor, dibujante y educador. A los tres años de edad regresó con su familia a Puerto Rico. Completó su Bachillerato en Bellas Artes con concentración en Pintura en el Colegio de Artes Plásticas de la Universidad de Syracuse. En 1996 se trasladó a la ciudad de Nueva York, donde trabajó como catalogador y manejador de arte para varios departamentos de arte de la casa de subastas Christie’s New York (Departamento de Arte Latinoameriano, Pintura europea del siglo diecinueve, Departamento de Arte y objetos marítimos). Durante este periodo, tuvo la oportunidad de estudiar con detenimiento el trabajo de algunos de los artistas de mayor relevancia en la historia del arte, además de estar en contacto con sus trabajos. Su obra ha sido expuesta en Puerto Rico, Italia, Nueva York y Massachusetts.

Painter, draftsman, and educator. He returned to Puerto Rico with his family at the age of three. He completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Painting at the School of Visual Arts at Syracuse University. In 1996, he moved to New York City, where he worked as art cataloger and manager for several art departments at Christie’s New York (Department of Latin American Art, Nineteenth Century European Painting, Department of Art and Marine Objects). During this period, he was able to study in detail the work of some of the most relevant artists the history of art, in addition to coming into contact with their work. His work has been exhibited in Puerto Rico, Italy, New York, and Massachusetts.
