Wolfgagn Vega (Caracas, Venezuela, 1958)
El artista ha participado en exposiciones colectivas e individuales en diferentes países desde 1975. Ha participado en la Sexta Bienal Internacional de Cerámica de Manises, España, y en la colectiva Útil-Inútil, presentada en el Hotel de Ville, Yverdon, Suiza. Tuvo una exposición individual en el Mashiko Museum of Ceramic Art, en Mashico, Japón. Entre los reconocimientos más recientes, el artista recibió Medalla de Oro en el 53 Concurso de la Cerámica de Arte de Faenza, Italia, y también obtuvo Mención de Honor en el segundo World Ceramic Bienale 2003, en Ichon, Korea. De paso por Venezuela, ofreció una conferencia en la Galería Braulio Salazar sobre “Tendencias de la cerámica como soporte para las nuevas propuestas contemporáneas”, a la cual asistieron veinticinco artistas plásticos y ceramistas. Vive y trabaja en Suiza.

The artist has participated in group and solo exhibitions in different countries since 1975. He has participated in the Sixth International Biennial of Ceramics in Manises, Spain, and in the group show Útil-Inútil presented at the Hotel de Ville, Yverdon, Switzerland. He had a solo exhibition at the Mashiko Museum of Ceramic Art, in Mashico, Japan. Among the most recent awards, the artist received a Gold Medal at the 53rd Ceramic Art Competition in Faenza, Italy, and also received an Honorable Mention at the second World Ceramic Biennale 2003, in Ichon, Korea. While in Venezuela, he gave a lecture at the Braulio Salazar Gallery on “Trends in ceramics as a support for new contemporary proposals”, which was attended by twenty-five artists and ceramists. Lives and works in Switzerland.
