Rick Satava (San Francisco, CA, 1950)
In 1977, Rick Satava opened his own Northern California-based glass studio called Satava Art Glass. Each of Satava’s pieces are designed as one-of-a-kind and made from glass that Satava formulates himself. Stava’s most famous pieces are undoubtedly his realistic glass jellyfish sculptures preserved in glass.
Satava Art Glass produces an array of stunning hand-blown and solid forms in glass. Their work is well known and appreciated throughout the world. Satava has spent decades making original designs and perfecting his craft – it shows in the art glass we create. His amazing Jellyfish in glass have worked their way into many people’s hearts and homes. Satava hand-blown vases, depicting beautiful natural landscapes, have made many a person melt.
